Referral Nurse
Teresa is the Referral Nurse/Service Coordinator at Tucker Day Report. Teresa obtained her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing with a minor in Psychology, from West Virginia Wesleyan College in 1996. Teresa has worked in several different hospital settings such as: medical-surgical, intensive care, oncology, ER charge nurse, and behavioral health. Teresa brought with her, an extensive knowledge of the health care field, and the ability to work in fast pace high stress environments with diverse demographics, Throughout the last seven years, Teresa has steered her focus towards mental health disorders, substance use disorders and children at high risk making her the perfect fit for Tucker Day Report. Every year Teresa must complete continued education hours as required by the West Virginia Board of Nursing. Teresa has also received additional training in Appalachian addiction, trauma, medication assisted treatment, substance use disorders and working within the justice system.
